Protein 23% Oil 35% Fibre 7% Ash 5.15%
Linseed, in its raw state, contains the enzyme Linase, which, in moist conditions, can trigger the release of hydrogen cyanide. Micronization not only enhances feed value and palatability, but also destroys Linase, so that the resulting product can be fed direct to all stock. High in health giving Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, Micronized Full Fat Linseed Meal provides health within, and appearance without! Its high energy, combined with very low starch levels, is especially beneficial to all Equines, including older horses, and those prone to Laminitis
Feeding rate: On average 150gm – 200gm per day depending on the size of the horse. ie. 150gm for a small pony and 200gm for a large thoroughbred.

She hates being stabled and so lives out in a sheltered area with a field shelter, restricted grass in the summer and is rugged up in winter She is still enjoying life at age 35 but has lost a lot of condition over the last year and although on 4 feeds daily and ad-lib hay was still not putting on weight. After just 10 days of gradually adding the linseed her coat is beginning to shine and she seems to be getting a bit more body. We are just hoping that this will help build her up before next winter sets in.

Obviously I had to introduce this very slowly but within ten days, and for the first time in the four weeks he’s been home he has gained a bit of weight 🙂 I can’t say that it is simply this product alone that has made him put on weight, but I am sure that it has helped dramatically, I would also like to add that he has a lovely shine on his coat. I will definitely continue to use this product.

I requested on the order form that it should be left in the porch but the Yodel driver drove in, turned round in our yard, didn’t come to the door and knock and instead just threw a 20kg bag of Linseed over our garden gate and then chucked two blank "sorry you were out " cards on the ground outside the gate which blew into my neighbours drive the other side of the road. I was on the phone when they delivered and looked out of the window in time to see this happen. The bag had split but because Titmuss’s put it into a woven plastic sack and sewed it up, none of the linseed was lost or spoiled. Yodel are appalling !

It’s meant she keeps her weight on in winter, her coat looks fab, her hooves much less brittle and it keeps her joints in good nick – plus she loves the taste (great for a picky eater). Great value buying the larger bag, it keeps well, is good quality and delivery is always fast.

Our three elderly horses (37, 26 and 24) are fed this daily to nourish dry and itchy skin and there has been a significant improvement in the condition of their coats and hooves in the six months we have been feeding Micronised Linseed. Product and supplier are both highly recommended.
